About Coastal Connections
Coastal Connections is an exciting eco-tour and learning
vacation company focused on providing high quality natural
history educational cruises on board our fully Transport
Canada certified tour/research vessel “Coastal Explorer”.
We operate year round from our bases located in the beautiful
Terra Nova National Park as
well as the community of Petley,
Smith Sound, Random Island and in scenic Traytown
on the island of Ireland’s Eye.

All our tours and programs contain a strong learning element combined with exciting hands-on activities, which allow all our guests to enjoy the beauty and gain valuable knowledge of the pristine environment of Smith Sound, an area long known for it’s breathtaking scenery and rich ecological diversity. To ensure our guests are provided with a personalized learning experience, group sizes are kept small (no more than 12).
